Sustainable development policy

At Xtramarine, we are strongly committed to promoting a sustainable and environmentally friendly future. As a boat manufacturer, we recognize the critical importance of preserving the oceans and marine resources. That's why we strive to implement a sustainability policy that integrates ecological and social practices throughout our value chain.

Member of APER

Xtramarine is a member of APER, the Association for Eco-Responsible Pleasure Boating. APER is the national eco-organization approved by the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition to manage the deconstruction and recycling of end-of-life pleasure and sports boats.

One of the main challenges in developing the sector is the valorization of materials resulting from deconstruction, particularly composites, which make up the majority of waste generated from deconstructing a pleasure boat. APER’s mission is to continuously carry out actions in collaboration with various industrial and institutional stakeholders to promote and encourage the recycling of these materials.

Energetic sobriety

Xtramarine promotes the use of electric motors. By promoting more efficient technologies and limiting waste, we can maximize the benefits of these engines while minimizing their impact on the environment. Energy sobriety, in this context, encourages us to rethink our practices and to favor sustainable solutions for a more balanced society that respects our planet.

Sustainable design and materials

We are committed to developing innovative boats using sustainable and recyclable materials. We promote the research and adoption of eco-friendly technologies to minimize our CO2 footprint and reduce marine pollution. It is for this reason, for example, that we decided to use Velcro to attach the logo to the bridge, thus minimizing the use of glues that are not respectful of the environment and the sea.

Circular Economy

We support the concept of circular economy by encouraging the reuse, repair, and recycling of our products. We are working to implement recycling programs for obsolete parts and are exploring innovative solutions to extend the life of our boats. We are currently involved in two projects funded by the European Commission that are helping us along the way.

Sustainable Supply Chain

We are committed to choosing suppliers who share our sustainability values. We prioritize partnerships with environmentally friendly and socially responsible companies, while promoting transparency throughout the supply chain.

Awareness raising and education

We believe in training our employees, customers, and partners. We will implement training programs on sustainable practices, encouraging a corporate culture that is aware of its impact on the environment.

Continuous innovation

We invest in research and development to promote innovative and sustainable solutions in shipbuilding. Our goal is to be at the forefront of environmentally friendly technologies.

Social impact

We believe in responsibility towards future generations and work to create a positive impact on society.

At Xtramarine, our vision of a sustainable economy guides all our actions. We recognize that sustainability is an ongoing process, and we are committed to constantly evolving to address current and future environmental challenges.
