On the occasion of the Sea & Horizons Day, which brought together researchers, experts, and entrepreneurs committed to the preservation of marine environments, the Metropolis awarded the Blue Innovation Challenge prizes, recognizing the winning startups of the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
They were selected for their ability to reconcile economic development and the protection of marine ecosystems. These startups enrich an already structured local ecosystem around the blue economy. The four awarded projects will benefit from support and experimental grounds in the territory.
In continuation of this dynamic, the 2025 edition of the Blue Innovation Challenge marked a new step in the recognition of innovative solutions dedicated to maritime transition and ocean health.
This year, the Blue Innovation Award 2025 was awarded toXtramarine, a startup that has distinguished itself with a particularly ambitious and pragmatic approach to marine environment protection. By winning this award, Xtramarine joins an already strong network of actors engaged in the local blue economy.
